Why Tinctures?
EFFICIENCY. Because MCT oil is known for its bioavailability and rapid absorption, it allows for a more efficient delivery of cannabinoids. Compared to other cannabis-infused products, such as edibles or topicals, cannabis-infused MCT oil provides a more direct and rapid delivery of cannabinoids.
COST. The unit-cost per milligram of THC in tinctures tends to be about 1/2 of that of gummies and other edibles. In Vermont, edibles packages can only contain a total 50 milligrams of THC per package. At ~$30 per package, that equates to ~$0.6 per milligram of THC. Tinctures, however, even at just 150 milligrams of THC per package, at ~$50, equates to only $0.3 per milligram of THC.
